Simon K.A. Ayivi
Director (Board Chairman)
“Simon K. A. Ayivi is non-executive director of Apakan Securities Ltd., making available to management his wealth of local and international experience in the financial services industry. Simon is co-founder and Managing Director VPL Concrete Limited. He also co-founded Axis Pensions Group and served for nearly a decade as Group Chief Operating Officer and executive director of Axis Pensions Group and its subsidiaries (Axis Pension Trust Ltd., Axis Pension Administration Services Ltd. and Axis Pensions, Rwanda).
Simon Ayivi’s background is in finance and economics, with over 13years of experience in Investment Management & Administration. Before co-founding Axis Pensions Group, he worked with Databank Asset Management Services Ltd. as Funds Manager. He joined Databank from Morgan Stanley where he worked in derivatives trading and settlement in Baltimore, USA and later Glasgow, Scotland, UK.
Simon holds a master’s degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, NY, USA and a bachelor’s degree in Land Economy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi.”
Paul Tetteh
Non-Executive Director
Paul Tetteh is a seasoned banker with over 10years of experience in the banking sector. Paul worked with Access Bank Ghana Ltd were over a 5 year period, held various positions with a focus initially in the Automobile industry and later moving on to the cement and steel subsector. He moved on to Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd for 3years and moved on later to Consolidated Bank Ghana Ltd. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Business Administration from the Catholic University of Ghana and an EMBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School.
Frederick S. Duvor
Managing Director
Frederick S. Duvor is the Managing Director of Apakan Securities Limited. Prior to joining Apakan, Frederick was a Portfolio Manager with EDC Investments Ltd managing assets in excess of GHS 1.5bn. Frederick managed the largest collective investment scheme in Ghana, the EDC Ghana Fixed Income Fund from its inception until December 2018 outperforming its benchmark every year. He started his career at Databank Asset Management as an Analyst and later a Fund Manager. Frederick holds an EMBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Catholic University of Ghana
Arnold Dublin-Green
Head, Global Markets
Arnold Dublin-Green is the Head, Global Markets of Apakan Securities Ltd. Prior to joining Apakan, Arnold was a Senior Portfolio Manager in EDC Investments Ltd managing the only Pan African Fixed Income Fund across various countries on the continent. Previously Head of sub-Saharan Africa Trading for Renaissance Capital London, managing over $20m across various countries on the continent and in African Alliance, Johannesburg as Head of African Markets, covering Nigeria, Kenya, and South African Markets. He joined African Alliance from Nubuke Investments, London, where he worked as a Senior Trader and Analyst, part of the team managing $120m in assets across various countries on the African Continent-Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, South Africa, Rwanda etc. Arnold is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) and holds a certificate in Investments, securities and derivatives.
Julian K. Ampofo
Executive Director
Julian K. Ampofo is an Executive Director in charge of Trading and Execution at Apakan Securities Ltd. He graduated from the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, an institution renowned for alumni including Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Nnamdi Azikiwe, with a degree in Finance.
Julian worked as an FX Broker at GFX Brokers, a Ghana-based Broker-Dealer firm before moving to Savvy Securities to Head the FX brokerage and act as an interim Head of Fixed Income Brokerage. Julian set up the Fixed Income and FX trading desks at Apakan Securities.
